Dian Fossey habituated some of the mountain gorillas in Volcanoes National Park, participated in law enforcement activities such as patrols to protect these exceptional creatures, and even lost her life in the 1980s while trying to safeguard them. Therefore for your gorilla trekking adventure, you can add the hike to her gravesite to learn about her journey, and see how her legacy still lives on in Volcanoes National Park. This is something you can’t experience anywhere else but Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park.
