CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

At Scenic Luxury Vacation, we not only offer classic safaris and create unforgettable memories for our visitors but also care and are responsible for our environment, community and staff. We implement our corporate social responsibility (CSR) in different ways, as highlighted below :-

Community:

We give back to the local communities

No matter how small, Scenic Luxury Vacation is committed to being a driving force in societal change. In so doing, we support community projects as well as donations and charity works in rural areas, especially the ones directly involved on conservation of the environment and wildlife.

We strive to always provide unmatched holiday experiences, supporting communities where we live and work, and the ones around national parks where remarkable experiences are provided.

We offer support, in form of scholastic materials, medical supplies, scholarships and clothing; to orphans, elderly people and vulnerable children. Most of them their parents or guardians died as a result of HIV/AIDS, civil wars or wildlife attacks.
Since establishment of this foundation in 2018, our partnership with them has just grown throughout the years. Our Partners

Showing respect for local customs and community

Respect of local customs and communities is one of our linchpins at Scenic Luxury Vacations. For the last 5 years we have been in operation, we ensure that our activities are in line with this social responsibility. It is our duty to ensure that our staff and partners also comply with community guidelines, laws and cultures.

Visitors – Corporate Social Responsibility:

Total commitment when providing quality services to visitors

We exist because of our clients and we owe it to them to provide quality services with high levels of professionalism. We don’t book sub-standard accommodation facilities for our visitors, therefore lodges that don’t meet the bare minimum are a big NO for us.

When it comes to safari vehicles, we only offer luxurious ones thus providing quality to our clients.

Right from the time our visitors arrive into the country, Uganda or Rwanda, we provide VIP check-in and immigration clearing. We then provide private transfers to their hotels by clean, eloquent and experienced safari drivers.

Environmental Corporate Social Responsibility:

Environment protection

At Scenic Luxury Vacation, we advocate for ‘going green’. So, as environment protection champions, we partner with renowned organizations like Kijani Forestry in establishing nurseries and planting trees in selected rural communities, especially those living around national parks.

These are all efforts of addressing the alarming deforestation levels, but also providing alternative source of wood instead of depending on the protected forest reserves.

In addition, most of our office activities try as much as possible not to print on paper, because we emphasize recycling of paper to protect more trees from being cut to make paper.

Staff:

Care and Fair treatment of our staff

At Scenic Luxury Vacation, we hold our staff in high regard and for this reason, we put so much emphasis on their welfare. This includes providing a fully paid maternity leave (3 months) for mothers, providing on-job training and further education and training, so that they can deliver quality services.

We also provide fair hearing in case of office conflicts and provide a social fund for staff in need, especially those who would have lost a loved one. We promptly pay for their National Social Security Fund (NSSF), provide retirement and health insurance benefits among others.

Involving our staff when formulating new policies

Respect and value is what we place on our staff and for this reason, new policies that affect them and our business have to be formulated with their opinions because in the end, a happy staff is a thriving business.
