Day 1: Arrive on Akagera National Park through a road transfer (2:30 hrs to 3 hrs)
You will kick-off this 3-day Akagera National Park trip in the beautiful Kigali City, the Capital of Rwanda and the official gateway into the country. The beauty collections of this outstanding City always precede it, with different genocide memorial sites, art and craft markets, galleries, local market places and irresistible cuisine.
Make use of your morning to undertake a City tour to some of these places and learn to appreciate what you’ve been missing. Pick your perfect souvenir safari hat which you will slay with throughout your wildlife safari and take the 2 hours and 30 minutes to 3 hours’ drive to the beautiful Akagera National Park.

Day 2: Discover Akagera National Park through game drive and boat ride
On this day, you get to experience the inner beauty of Akagera National Park and encounter the wide array of wildlife with the guided game drive aboard the open-hatched land cruiser. You will first fuel up with a hearty breakfast and hop onto the vehicle to drive about 3-4 hours through the spectacular savannah-dominated protected area. Sight various animals like elephants, warthogs, Masai giraffes, rhinos, buffaloes, waterbucks, topis, bushbucks, black and white colobus monkeys and others during this tour.
Afterwards, make your way back to the Lodge for a well-deserved lunch and after continue for the boat ride. This will be done on Lake Ihema for 2 hours and will guarantee sights of Hippos, Nile crocodiles and some elephants among others. As the sun sets, you will be treated to one of the best views.
