Detailed Itinerary of 3 Days Uganda Gorilla safari

Day 1: Kampala City – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Your Uganda gorilla safari begins at Uganda’s capital city, Kampala, so your private safari driver will meet you at the hotel or at your home resident early in the morning. You will then start the 8 hours’ journey through western and south-western part of Uganda to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, with stopover at Equator crossing line for photography, cup of coffee, snacks and leg stretching as well as Igongo Cultural Center for lunch.

Late afternoon you will be in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Here, you will make yourself at home at any of the secluded safari lodges with dinner and overnight included.

Day 2: Uganda Gorilla safari within Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

This day is definitely the highlight of your short Uganda gorilla safari as you head into the jungles of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for a chance to see mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Here, you will start your adventure down the valleys, up the hills and crossing the streams while searching for the giant apes that call this park home.

This trek goes for 1-6 hours with occasional sights of other animals, birds and so many natural features found in Bwindi Forest. One hour is provided for viewing and photographing mountain gorillas as they go about their daily routines.

Later, you will have lunch at the Lodge then walk to the indigenous Batwa pygmies in the surrounding community to learn about how they have maintained their traditions for ages. You will then meet other visitors this evening for dinner and overnight while sharing experiences of the activity.

Day 3: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – Kampala/Entebbe by road
